Growth habit & appearance: Chamaemelum nobile forms a low, dense carpet of finely divided, apple-scented foliage that releases fragrance with the slightest touch. Growing conditions: A hardy perennial native to Ireland and Europe, Roman chamomile thrives outdoors in Irish climates.
