Red-Yeast Rice Complex

MycoNutri™ Red Yeast Rice Complex is a synergistic blend of Red Yeast Rice (Monascus purpureus, standardised to at least 1.6% monacolin K), Shiitake hot-water extract and Coenzyme Q10 (10%).

Red Yeast Rice is produced through the fermentation of rice with Monascus purpureus, generating monacolin K, a natural inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in cholesterol synthesis. It also provides beta-glucans and plant sterols, which contribute to maintaining healthy lipid levels.

Shiitake contains the antifungal agent eritadenine, which has hypocholesterolemic activity through inhibition of S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine hydrolase. Coenzyme Q10 is included to support cellular energy production and help maintain healthy CoQ10 levels.
