Shiitake is a widely appreciated culinary mushroom, valued for its rich umami flavour. Naturally growing on hardwood trees, it is now cultivated primarily on sawdust-based substrates. Beyond its culinary significance, Shiitake is also the source of lentinan, a well-studied beta-glucan polysaccharide.

Now produced using 50% high-concentration hot-water extract (6-7:1) and 50% full-spectrum hot-water extract, both derived from the fruiting body, providing naturally higher levels of beta-glucans and dietary fibre from the mushroom itself.

This updated formula follows a balanced, natural extraction philosophy, respecting the inherent harmony of the mushroom’s active compounds rather than isolating or exaggerating individual ingredients.

It reflects a holistic approach similar to the traditional TCM principle of “Jun–Chen–Zuo–Shi”, where each component supports and complements the others to achieve overall balance and efficacy.

The result is a formula that delivers broader nutritional activity and enhanced support for overall wellbeing.

MycoNutri™ Shiitake is produced from wild-harvested fruiting bodies using a dual hot-water extraction process, followed by vacuum concentration, spray-drying and blending. The final extract contains over 40% beta-glucans.

Take up to 1½ level 5ml teaspoons daily (suggested intake 1-3g per day), or as recommended by your health professional. Add to hot or cold beverages or sprinkle into food for easy consumption.
