MycoNutri Cordyceps – Product Information

Ivywood is the Irish distributor of MycoNutri medicinal mushroom extracts, supplying customers and healthcare practitioners throughout Ireland. MycoNutri™ Cordyceps is available from Ivywood in both capsules and powder.

The current formulation combines high-cordycepin Cordyceps fruiting body extract with deep-liquid fermented mycelium to provide a full-spectrum extract. The finished product is standardised to contain more than 40% total beta-glucans, more than 1% cordycepin and more than 0.5% adenosine.

Cordyceps Ophiocordyceps sinensis

NEW & IMPROVED FORMULATION

The new formulation of our Organic Cordyceps represents a significant advance, now using:
High-cordycepin fruiting body extract, carefully cultivated and extracted to preserve heat-sensitive compounds.
Deep-liquid fermented mycelium, separated cleanly from the nutrient solution to avoid grain residues commonly found in solid-state fermentation products.
This new approach ensures a higher concentration of bioactive compounds (including β-glucans, cordycepin, adenosine and mannitol) and a cleaner, more consistent raw material base.
Together, the fruiting body extract and liquid-fermented mycelium deliver a balanced full-spectrum profile, aligning with both traditional practice and modern scientific standards.
MycoNutri™ Cordyceps is produced from organically cultivated Cordyceps mycelium and fruiting bodies. The hot-water extract is vacuum-concentrated, spray-dried, and standardised to contain >40% total beta-glucans, >1% cordycepin and >0.5% adenosine.

Growing Seasons & Information

MycoNutri™'s Cordyceps Fruiting body (indoor cultivation, year-round):
Grown indoors year-round in controlled clean-rooms using organic rice + soy substrate. Fruiting and cordycepin formation are promoted with blue-light exposure (450–470 nm), 18–22 °C temperature and 85–95% RH. Production runs in 45–60-day cycles, allowing consistent quality and supply; harvested at full maturiy, then extracted at ≤ 60 °C to protect heat-sensitive cordycepin.

Deep-liquid fermented mycelium, grown in sterile nutrient solution, ensuring clean and consistent raw material without grain residues.

This combination of cultivation methods ensures a reliable supply of Cordyceps with consistently high levels of functional compounds.

Raw Material manufacturing process

Fruiting bodies are dried to maintain cordycepin 0.1–0.3%, then extracted twice with purified water at low temperatures (below 60 °C) to prevent degradation of heat-sensitive compounds. The extract is subsequently vacuum-concentrated and vacuum low-temperature dried, producing a stable powder while preserving β-glucans, cordycepin, adenosine and mannitol. In addition, an extract of deep-liquid fermented mycelium is produced by water extraction and then combined with the fruiting body extract, ensuring a full-spectrum Cordyceps profile.
